Wormhole William must establish either a direct connection to the peer that you are transferring data to/from, or a Relay Server, which allows two peers to connect through a third party if they cannot connect directly. Both the Peer and Relay Server may collect your IP Address. Upon successful connection for a file transfer, the Peer will see the filename and contents of the file being transferred.
The Wormhole William android app supports scanning QR codes for passing transfer codes between devices. In order to scan a QR code Wormhole William will ask for Camera access. The images captured are only used to read QR codes and are not stored or retained.
